SYSTEMATISATION OF TYPICAL UX/UI PROBLEMS IN WEBSITES WITHIN THE STRUCTURE OF A COMPREHENSIVE AUDIT

Abstract

The article substantiates the structure of a systematic UX/UI audit of websites and systematises typical digital interface problems that affect the effectiveness of user interaction with a web resource. The study conceptualises a web resource as an integral system in which the quality of user interaction is determined not by isolated interface elements, but by their coordinated functioning. It has been established that the structure of a comprehensive UX/UI audit should include five interrelated analytical blocks: information architecture and navigation, visual organisation of the interface, responsiveness and technical performance, trust and ethics, and accessibility. The study demonstrates that deficiencies in each of these blocks directly affect ease of use, predictability of user actions, the speed of completing target scenarios, and the overall perception of the web resource. On this basis, the most common UX/ UI problems of websites have been systematised, including navigational confusion, inconsistency in page structure, visual overload, weak visual hierarchy, deficiencies in mobile adaptation, slow loading speed, lack of transparent user communication, manipulative interface solutions, and barriers to digital accessibility. The conclusions emphasise that the proposed audit structure may serve as an analytical framework for the comprehensive evaluation of websites, the identification of redesign priorities, and the development of well-grounded recommendations for improving usability, accessibility, predictability, and the overall quality of digital interaction. The scientific novelty of the study lies in refining the structure of a comprehensive UX/UI audit and systematising typical shortcomings of digital interfaces within a holistic evaluation model. The practical significance of the findings lies in the possibility of using the proposed structure as a basis for the analytical evaluation of websites, the identification of redesign priorities, and the preparation of recommendations aimed at improving the usability, accessibility, predictability, and ethical quality of digital interaction. Prospects for further research are seen in the empirical validation of the proposed model across web resources of different types and purposes.
