The article presents a comprehensive study of the artistic and stylistic dimension of Art Nouveau as an effective tool for shaping contemporary design thinking in the professional training of future designers through academic drawing. Art Nouveau is considered as an integral artistic system that established new principles of form-making, decorative organization of the plane, and plastic expressiveness at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It is determined that linear plasticity, ornamental rhythm, planar composition, and stylization of natural forms constitute an important methodological resource for the development of figurative, compositional, and projectoriented thinking in students. The purpose of the research is to determine the role of the artistic and stylistic principles of Art Nouveau in the formation of professional design thinking through drawing. The methodology is based on art historical analysis of stylistic features, comparative analysis of theoretical sources on art history and design education, generalization of scientific approaches to the formation of artistic thinking, and analysis of educational and creative practice. The research establishes that the stylistic system of Art Nouveau activates the processes of compositional generalization, develops line culture, rhythmic organization of the plane, and the ability for structural visual perception. It is shown that the transformation of a painterly image into a linear graphic interpretation contributes to analytical thinking, stylization skills, and visual modeling of form. The application of Art Nouveau principles in the educational process ensures the synthesis of academic artistic tradition with contemporary visual design approaches. It is proved that the integration of Art Nouveau artistic and stylistic principles into drawing education expands the expressive possibilities of graphic language, forms holistic artistic and design thinking, and ensures continuity of artistic traditions within the modern visual environment.
