The aim of this article is to define the theoretical and practical foundations of design-project methodology as an integrated system of knowledge that combines the analytical, creative, and technological aspects of a designer’s activity. The article examines the essence, structure, and significance of design methodology as an interdisciplinary field that integrates humanitarian, technical, and artistic approaches in the process of creating a material and spatial environment. The role of methodological knowledge in shaping a holistic vision of design activity, developing creative and critical thinking, and enhancing the efficiency of professional education for future specialists is emphasized. The purpose of the study is to define the theoretical foundations for the formation of methodological principles of design projecting and to reveal the mechanisms of their implementation in the educational process of training specialists in the field of culture and art. An analysis of the main methodological approaches – systemic, cultural, synergetic, aesthetic, and communicative – is carried out in the context of modern design education. Special attention is paid to the concepts of R. Arnheim, W. Wong, and D. Norman, which emphasize the interrelation between form perception, functionality, user experience, and the emotional impact of a design product. The study reveals the role of methodology in shaping a designer’s authorial concept, constructing the logic of the design process, improving compositional skills, and developing professional reflection and creative self-realization. As a result, a structural-logical model of design projecting is summarized, integrating analytical, creative, and technological stages to ensure a harmonious combination of intellectual, aesthetic, and practical components of activity. The potential of methodological integration for optimizing educational strategies and improving the quality of creative practices is underlined. The study identifies prospects for further research aimed at improving educational methods, developing innovative approaches to the formation of methodological culture among future designers, and creating effective systems for supporting creative decision-making in the professional environment.
