DISHARMONY IN VARIOUS SUBJECT SPHERES OF MODERN DESIGN

The aim of the study is to analyze disharmony in various areas of modern science and design in particular, in order to clarify its form-creative meaning and heuristic potential in the theory and practice of modern design, art and design education. Methodology: methods of comparative analysis, semantic analysis, induction, deduction, extrapolation, expert assessments were used to identify the spectrum of ideas about the origins of disharmony as a phenomenon, the content saturation of the concept of "disharmony", as well as to clarify its significance in understanding innovations in modern artistic practice. Results: The connection between disharmony and the aesthetic ideal and aesthetic feelings of people and its role in current artistic practices, in particular, design activities, is analyzed. The heuristic potential of this concept for assessing the results and foundations of form- building in design and artistic practice is considered; the range of opinions of modern scientists, domestic and foreign specialists in the field of design on its content is clarified. Scientific novelty: the prevalence of the opinion on the specifics of disharmony, developed by philosophy and classical aesthetics, is revealed; inconsistency, imbalance, dysfunction are indicated as the main features of disharmony in design as an artistic practice of the twentieth century; the need for further understanding of the causes and manifestations of disharmony for the development of a theoretical and methodological basis in research on design, art education and the practice of modern design is noted. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that it pays attention to the need for a clear explication of the components of disharmony, as the phenomenon, to improve the aesthetic competence of designers and other specialists involved in form-building in design and creative projects in modern artistic practices.
